At HELA we use the building throughout the day but during the evening and weekends our rooms are unused and are available for hire. Rooms can be hired on an on-going or one-off basis depending on your circumstances.

What can the rooms be used for?

We think our rooms will suit small to medium groups for a range of purposes.  Some examples of potential use for the rooms:

  • Training, educational classes or tutoring (for the workplace, schools, etc)
    • Meetings or conferences (for businesses, clubs, groups, etc)
    • Club events or
    • Social events or gatherings

How many people can the rooms hold?

Room 1 is a medium-large space suitable for approximately 20 seated people, or about 30 standing.

Room 2 is a medium space suitable for approximately 15 seated people, or about 20 standing.

Room 3 is a small-medium space suitable for approximately 10-12 seated people, or about 15 standing.

What is included with the venue hire?

Included in the price for each room hire are the following:

    • WIFI
    • 1 whiteboard (more if unused by others)
    • Tables and chairs
    • Photo-copier (charges apply for printing, scanning to an email address is free)
    • Air conditioning
    • Off road car parks
    • Access to the kitchen with fridge, table and chairs, zip, microwave, cutlery and plates, glasses, etc
    • 1 Projector (bond may be required depending on the activity), if not already in use by another group – first in first serve
    • CD player
    • Ping Pong table (can be made available for use in Room 1, accessible if hiring Room 1 or if Room 1 isn’t in use by another group)
    • Board Games

Can we purchase consumable items like stationary or tea and coffee?

Yes, we have a number of consumable items available for purchase:

    • Photocopying - black and white, or colour copying. Paper choices include many colours, thicknesses and finishes subject to availability and notice.
    • Laminator
    • Phone – free local calls, otherwise charges will apply
    • Stationary – whiteboard or permanent markers, pens, pencils, cellotape, staplers, etc
    • Tea, coffee, milk, sugar

I want to have catering at my event, how does this work?

We are happy to organise catering on your behalf, or you may bring in your own caterers. We can provide staff to prepare and serve food for your event subject to availability.
